Local Hero Award
We’d like to recognise the hard work of organisations and individuals who have continued to help others and make Dinas Powys a better place. This is the second year the council are asking for nominations for the Award. It is a great opportunity to acknowledge their dedication in going above and beyond for the community.
Every year, we see fantastic examples of Dinas Powys community spirit. This Local Hero award will serve as a platform to honour those who have gone the extra mile for their community, shown bravery or who have excelled in their work in the Dinas Powys. These awards are a great way of recognising their achievements and celebrating their commitment.”
The Local Hero Award is open for nominations of both individuals and groups, regardless of age, who volunteer their free time to helping others within Dinas Powys or those (individual or group) who have done something exceptional for the community.
Anyone who lives or works in Dinas Powys can be nominated.
To assist the judging panel, please ensure you include as much detail as possible when nominating with examples of what the individual or group have done in the community.
Please pick up a nomination form from the Community Council Office in the Parish and vote for your Local Hero!!
