Behind the scenes with Dinas Powys WI β€οΈ
The needles have been busy and hundreds upon hundreds of stitches are coming together as the wonderful ladies of Dinas Powys WI prepare their beautiful cascade of hand-crafted poppies.
πΊ Each poppy has been lovingly made and will form part of a stunning display on The Twyn this Remembrance Day, creating a sea of red to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.
From the first stitch to the final poppy, this is a wonderful example of community, friendship and remembrance coming together.
A huge thank you to all the talented ladies of Dinas Powys WI for the time, care and creativity you have put into this very special project. β€οΈ
We can’t wait to see the finished cascade on The Twyn!
We will remember them. πΊ
