💃🕺 A Big Thank You to Our Wonderful Tea Dancers! ❤️

by

There was plenty of smiles, laughter and community spirit in the Parish Hall today as we welcomed our wonderful Tea Dancers!

The Councillors were delighted to meet with the group and hear about the fantastic support they continue to give to our local community. Today, they went one step further by holding a raffle and raising an amazing £300 towards the Parish Hall Roof Appeal! 🎉👏

Every penny raised will help towards protecting and maintaining this much-loved community building for future generations.

The Tea Dancers were joined by Chair of Dinas Powys Community Council – Debbie Evans, Councillor John Fanshaw, Chair of the Halls, and Councillors Chris Franks and Marianne Cowpe.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the raffle and to the Tea Dancers for their incredible generosity and continued support. Your contribution really does make a difference. ❤️

And, of course…

💃 Keep dancing! 🕺

Together, we can keep our Parish Hall dancing for many years to come! 🌟

A Cascade of Poppies for Remembrance 🌺 – Dinas Powys WI

by

Behind the scenes with Dinas Powys WI ❤️

The needles have been busy and hundreds upon hundreds of stitches are coming together as the wonderful ladies of Dinas Powys WI prepare their beautiful cascade of hand-crafted poppies.

🌺 Each poppy has been lovingly made and will form part of a stunning display on The Twyn this Remembrance Day, creating a sea of red to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

From the first stitch to the final poppy, this is a wonderful example of community, friendship and remembrance coming together.

A huge thank you to all the talented ladies of Dinas Powys WI for the time, care and creativity you have put into this very special project. ❤️

We can’t wait to see the finished cascade on The Twyn!

We will remember them. 🌺

🎉 A HUGE thank you to The Swing Project! 🎉

We’d like to say a massive thank you to The Swing Project, who held a fundraising raffle over the weekend in support of the Dinas Powys Parish Hall Roof Appeal.

An incredible £471 was raised, and we are so grateful for their generosity and support. Community spirit like this really does make a difference, and every pound raised brings us one step closer to carrying out the much-needed roof repairs on our much-loved Parish Hall.

💚 Thank you, The Swing Project – your support means so much to us!

If you’re part of a local group, business or organisation and have an idea for raising funds – whether it’s a raffle, coffee morning, quiz night, sponsored challenge or something completely different – we’d love to hear from you!

Together, we can help preserve this important community building for future generations.
